ODOO RESOURCES
Accounting, its reports and its setup, sales, purchases, contacts and the catalogue — read from the external JSON-2 API of Odoo 19 and kept connected to your sheet.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
The loop of exporting invoices or journal items, reworking them in a spreadsheet and copying the corrections back by hand disappears. LinkyFlow reads the Odoo API and keeps the sheet connected to the database.
ACCOUNTING
Load customer invoices and credit notes, vendor bills, refunds and receipts with their state, payment state, partner, dates and totals, then their lines, your journal entries, your payments and the journal items of the ledger. Create a draft invoice or bill, correct its lines, post it, register a payment, cancel it or put it back to draft. An action is offered only when the state of the record allows it. Odoo computes the taxes and the totals.
BANK
Bank Reconciliations shows each bank line with what would reconcile it: the open items it matches, the general accounts it would be booked on, and the entry it would leave. Reading changes nothing. Reconcile a proposed line and its entry is rewritten as Odoo’s own reconciliation does: never a payment, so the money is not booked twice. A wrong reconciliation can be undone. A line in another currency than the company’s is refused: reconcile it in Odoo.
REPORTS
Trial Balance sums the posted journal items by account, over the period you ask. Partner Balances sums the open receivables and payables by partner, overdue as of a date if you ask. These are Odoo’s sums, never a total LinkyFlow computes.
FILES
List the PDF a supplier sent, a scan or a photo held on an invoice, a bill or a journal entry, each with a download link that opens only for you. The PDF Odoo prints of an invoice is not listed. A PDF, JPEG or PNG of up to 4 MB can be attached from the web app, the add-in, the API or ChatGPT.
SALES, PURCHASES & CONTACTS
Load quotations and sales orders, requests for quotation and purchase orders with their lines, partners, products and their categories. Create a quotation or a request for quotation with its lines, update it and confirm it. Create and update partners and products: they are archived, never deleted. Sales and Purchase need those apps installed in your database.

Sign in to the LinkyFlow web app, or install the free add-in from AppSource and open it in Excel.

In Odoo, click your avatar → Preferences → Account Security → New API Key. Name it LinkyFlow, choose Persistent Key if you are an administrator and the longest duration otherwise, then confirm your password. Paste the key and the address of your database. LinkyFlow checks what the key’s user may do and writes nothing to find out.

Which versions and plans of Odoo work?
Odoo 19 or later, because LinkyFlow uses its external JSON-2 API. Your database also needs a plan with access to the external API. Odoo’s pricing lists it on the Custom plan, not on One App Free or Standard. LinkyFlow has not been tested on those two plans, or on Odoo.sh, so check your plan before you count on it: where the API is closed, the connection cannot work.
What Odoo data can LinkyFlow access?
The accounting (invoices and their lines and files, journal entries and items, payments, bank lines and their reconciliation), the trial balance and partner balances, the accounting setup (accounts, journals, taxes, payment terms, fiscal positions, currencies and rates, analytic accounts and plans), sales and purchase orders with their lines, partners, products and their categories, and the stock where the Inventory app is installed — 32 queries. Custom fields (x_…) are not read.
Can LinkyFlow write to Odoo?
Yes, from Excel and the web app, with the rights of the key’s user. It creates and updates invoices, journal entries, payments, bank lines, quotations, requests for quotation, partners, products, accounts, analytic accounts and currency rates, and runs 21 actions, such as posting, registering a payment, a credit note or a bank reconciliation. Registering a payment books it in Odoo and moves no money. Every write is read back from Odoo. The =LF.odoo functions only read.
What do I need to connect?
An API key and the address of your database. The key acts as its Odoo user: LinkyFlow reads and writes what that user may, in that user’s default company. A server that holds several databases must choose one from its host name: LinkyFlow does not name a database.
What happens when the API key expires?
Odoo refuses LinkyFlow’s calls until you replace the key, and LinkyFlow cannot renew it: Odoo asks for the user’s password. Choose Persistent Key, or the longest duration Odoo offers. LinkyFlow reads the date at each sync and warns you from 7 days before it, as long as it can tell which key is yours: one key per integration keeps the warning.
How are amounts handled?
As Odoo answers them, in the currency of the document. Odoo computes taxes, totals and reconciliations, never LinkyFlow. The tax of a draft vendor bill can be set to the supplier’s document when Odoo’s rounding differs by at most one cent per product line.
Can ChatGPT or Claude work with my Odoo database?
Yes. commerce_list_products and commerce_list_orders read its products and sales orders, quotations among them, and commerce_set_inventory_quantities sets a count where the Inventory app is installed. The generic provider tools of MCP read the other queries and run most writes with the same connection. Nine of them, such as a bank reconciliation, a document put back to draft or a draft removed, are previewed first and run only with the token of that preview. A credit note, a payment put back to draft and deleting a bank line, a payment or an order stay in Excel and the web app. The other business tools do not work on Odoo.
Do LinkyFlow agents run on Odoo?
The Price Sync and the Stock Sync do, as the master or as a target, each variant matched by its own internal reference. The Price Sync compares the sales price as typed on the product and never converts it: a product of several variants holds one price for all of them, so it is reported and never written. The Stock Sync reads and counts the units on hand at one location you choose, and needs the Inventory app: without it, it says so and does not run. The Omnichannel Sales agent does not work on Odoo.
